So what does that Cave Canem in the logo mean? It means "Beware of Dog" and there is a mosaic from Pompeii that has a portrait of a dog with the words below it. Bill loved it when he saw it because it was just one of those random things that someone thought to do this for their house. And that Pompeii was buried in 79 AD and this wasn't uncovered until the eighteenth century. The story of Pompeii is a sad tale and this was one of the things was preserved for posterity - a symbol of the everyday in the Roman empire.

Beyond the ancient reference, the reason is that Bill would like to have Otto Von become one of the "big dogs" of the mobile game market. So the words (pronounced "ka-way ka-nem" in the original Latin) are an announcement of Otto Von's debut on the stage - "beware of dog".
